About

Kathleen Leser, LCSW. Atlanta Therapist.

headshot-resizedIn 1996, I made a career change. I began my graduate studies in the School of Social Work at the University of Georgia. In 1998, I graduated with a Master of Social Work degree. Subsequently, I received my license as a Clinical Social Worker in the State of Georgia. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Metro Atlanta Therapists’ Network (MATN).

This career change is a return to my original path. I was awarded a Bachelor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Miami University in Ohio. My concentration was in psychology. After graduating, I worked as a Crisis Intervention Counselor for four years.

Since 1998, I have worked in community mental health care settings and the behavioral health department of a large health care organization. I started my private therapy practice in 2011.

Before this career change, I worked in the financial services industry in commercial banking for ten years. I received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Florida.
